Since a young age, I've been passionate in helping the developmentally disabled due to having a close family member that had developmental handicaps. I have worked at Orono Woodlands, a privately owned home for 6 residents that are seniors with developmental handicaps for a total of 6 years. I also have worked with Hammer Homes for 2 years in the Individualized Community Services Dept., and at Presbyterian Homes in Spring Park for 2 years in the beauty salon. I am searching for a family in need of someone who is willing to share their love, kindness, patience, and experience.

Shawn has been helping take care of my Mom who has Alzheimer's for several years. She is incredibly kind, joyful and patient with her. She has taken on many tasks over the years, including helping with showering, shopping, doctor's appointments and helping care for my mom's 2 beloved cats. She has made my life so much easier and I know my Mom loves her dearly. I would highly recommend her.
