About Kalane

I'm a young D. C. professional and recent MBA graduate who has been baby-sitting for hire since the age of 15 (~12 plus years experience). I have had the privilege of taking care of children both on care. com and through other platforms/services. Beyond that, I am a weekly Sunday School teacher for young children and also rotate in working in the children's nursery. I am experienced in caring for children of all ages and am committed to giving each child the best of me every moment I am chanced to. As I have tutored for several years as well, I like to at least do one learning activity with the kids I care for, if allowable by the parents. I am the Founder and President of a local book club, so I also enjoy reading and love to read child-appropriate books to the children under my supervision. I am very active in the community as a local mentor, volunteer and DC Public School Career Coach. I am also a former Division 1 Track and Field athlete and still stay active and fit present day.
