About Joy

Looking for a full-time summer nanny position! My availability is early/mid June-early September. As an experienced Seattle Public Schools teacher and soon-to-be Elementary Education master's graduate, I bring a wealth of knowledge to any childcare role. I have spent previous summers as a river guide on Idaho's Salmon River. As a result, I blend my classroom expertise with outdoor education and activities. I have over four years of teaching experience, primarily elementary PE, math, and reading interventions. I've learned to cater to diverse student needs including gifted and talented, special needs, English learners and children with other exceptionalities. My active lifestyle-weekly run clubs, CrossFit, biking-complements my love for sports, while a passion for music and art add creativity to the childcare and education experience I provide. I am also Wilderness First Responder certified through Longleaf Medicine. This includes CPR and Epi certifications.
