About John

I am a retired math, science, and computer teacher with over 30 years of teaching experience. I tutor all levels of math, science, and computers from elementary school (grade 3) through high school (grade 12). I have a BA in mathematics, an MS in physics, and a PhD in computer science. One of my hobbies is writing computer software to help children and teenagers practice math. To date, I have written an arithmetic program and an algebra I program. Both programs allow students to proceed at their own pace from very simple questions to quite difficult ones. A person who can complete even 80% of the questions is well prepared in that subject. I am passionate about teaching, extremely well versed in my subject areas, and able to simplify complex concepts so that others can understand them.
