About Jennifer

Hello! I have over 10 years of experience teaching and tutoring elementary students. I have my Bachelors degree in Elementary Education PreK-6, as well as my Masters degree in Education with a focus in Curriculum & Instruction. I taught Kindergarten for 4 years, as well as PreK. I have worked as an in-home tutor for several families, including homeschooling a special needs student for two years. I have two children of my own, and homeschooled my own child for 1st grade. I am flexible, receptive, and patient, will modify the learning path as needed. I believe that children must feel comfortable and happy in order to learn. I will implement the curriculum you have chosen, and /or develop a learning plan for your child that fits his or her needs the best. I believe building a relationship with students and parents is equally important, and I include parent communication as part of a successful day or session of tutoring.
