About Janette

I am a smart, caring, responsible professional. I have worked as an adoption counselor, nanny, and teacher, and have had several hours of training as well as on the job experience. I've worked with all ages, including newborns, toddlers, and elementary through middle school aged children. I am willing to assist with any housework and other "mommy" duties, and am capable of preparing meals and helping with homework. I am very active and outgoing and would be happy to take the kids to any extracurricular activities they participate in. In addition to experience, I have a current FBI portable background check, first aid and CPR training, TB test, clean driving record, and my own reliable vehicle. In the past few years I have worked as a private tutor, with a focus on literacy. I have also worked in a public school as a reading interventionist and classroom teacher. In my free time I love to travel, go to the beach, cook, and work with animal rescue.
