About Jacob

Hello! My name is Jacob and I am in a junior at the Hunter-Bellevue School of Nursing. Prior to moving to NYC in 2021, I worked as a Hospital Aide in the hospital in my hometown where I gained invaluable experience working with patients in performing ADLs (activities of daily living), helping with meals, assisting with safe transfers, and connecting on deeper social levels. I have further hospital experience working in nursing facilities or through my school clinicals at various hospitals in NYC. Through these different environments, I have worked with patients with cancer, dementia, prior strokes, falls and fractures, joint replacements, amputations, and more. As a current student, I have availability a few days a week that I would love to spend serving the community and gaining further experience in the field of health care. I am motivated, easy going, and compassionate, and I value the opportunity to work with, connect with, and learn from all who I spend time with.
