About Ixtzel

My name is Ixtzel, I am fully bilingual in English and Spanish and ready to assist students seeking support in their language arts skills. I graduated with high honors and an International Baccalaureate Diploma from Rio Mesa High. I am a Summa Cum Laude graduate from the University of San Francisco, where I studied International Relations and Latin American studies. I am currently enrolled in a master's program at UCSD's School of Global Policy & Strategy. I was previously employed by the Rio School District as a Literacy Support teacher where I taught classes daily, developing lesson plans aligned with California Teaching Standards. Creating assignments and activities for a diverse range of students, including English language learners and college-ready readers. Providing whole class, and one-on-one instruction to support language and literacy development. I am a motivated worker with strong interpersonal skills and am passionate about equity in education and politics!
