About Gwendolyn

My prior senior care experience comes from taking care of my mother and aunt, 88 and 86 respectively. In listening to them they often mention how lonely and uncomfortable it is to age. They want to continue living in their home and keep their independence. My goal was to ensure they remain comfortable in their homes and find something to fill their time in between family and friends visits. They now play games on the computer and FaceTime family and friends when they start to feel lonely. It's important to listen to our seniors and encourage them to keep moving and use their legs and minds as much as possible. The pandemic put a halt to many seniors getting out and some lost muscle tone and strength in their limbs, it's time to get them mobile and out in the community. I find working with seniors to be educational and enjoyable as they regale me with colorful stories of their lives.
