About Genavieve

I'd describe myself as patient, affectionate, and helpful. I'd describe the way I care for children as gentle. I love children and I'm planning to major in elementary education. Kids have an innocence that deserves to be nurtured for as long as possible; I try to create safe environments that promote that. I started babysitting in 2019, and I do student teaching now. I have in-person experience of watching young minds grow and learn. One thing you should know is that although I have amazing patience and care for children, sometimes I have trouble being assertive when I say "no". I'm currently working on that, because I know that sometimes protecting them means saying no. Children warm up easily to me and I accommodate for what they need. (I'm understanding if a kid sometimes needs a second to calm down by themself, etc.) I'm good at entertaining them while teaching good habits, ex: sometimes you can't always win a board game, and it's nice to use manners.) I can also cook meals.
