About Emily

I am a highly motivated, compassionate and outgoing educator and caregiver who finds joy in nurturing growth within children. I have a BS in Psychology and Childhood Education from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY where I took courses on social and emotional learning, child development, literacy, STEM and special education. I have a dual New York State teaching certification in General Education and Special Education and an Interim Teaching Authorization in Colorado with Endorsements in Childhood General and Special education. I am CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguard Certified. I have a plethora of experience teaching and interacting with children with and without disabilities, both inside and out of the classroom. Throughout these experiences, I have learned the importance of individualizing care to meet the needs of each child. Finding a child's strengths and interests and using these to make connections and encourage growth is a passion of mine.
