About Emily

I'd describe my personality as down-to-earth, kind, and friendly. I like working with kids because I like surprises! Kids say and do the funniest and most unexpected things sometimes. I recently graduated from occupational therapy school and am currently working as needed OT shifts with older adults. I'm looking for a laid back side gig that will allow me to have a more consistent weekday routine. My first caregiving gig was around 2017 to 2020 as a tudor for two boys with ADHD. I've since worked with adults and children with a wide variety of abilities and welcome opportunities to work with both typically and atypically developing kids. In my spare time, I like to hike, read, dance, and spend time with friends and family. A few of my childcare skills include pretend play and remaining calm in escalated situations. CPR certified.
