About Carrington

I'd describe my personality as enthusiastic, go-with-the-flow, and dedicated! I like working with kids because I love to help them grow and overcome challenges they face. I have always loved being able to see how much children are capable of at such young ages and looking back and seeing how far they have come. I started working with kids when I learned how to drive. I did the occasional babysitting gig since then. In 2020, I did a 5 month gig from March - August and, for the past year, have worked at UNC Horizons' Child Development Center. In my spare time, I like to watch TV, hang out with friends, and visit family! I'm starting UNC's Master of Social Work program in a few weeks so that will definitely take a lot of the free time I have! My skills include patience, thinking on my feet, and conversational skills with varying ages.
