About Emily

I started caring for children when I joined the youth group at my local church. My youth pastor had three kids and his wife would have me come over and watch them while she worked from home. It was then that my love for kids was introduced. Playing with them and making them feel heard and cared for brings me so much joy. As time went on, I started babysitting for other local couples with the church and then the summer before college I received my first nanny job. I loved it! I would get there at 6:00 a.m. and would be with him until around 5:00 p.m. I babysat and did some errand running on the side as well. Having gained the experience I have throughout the years as shown me how unique and special every child truly is. My goal is to always make whoever I am babysitting feel heard, cared for, and loved. I am CPR and first-aid trained and a non-smoker. I graduated from UAB with a psychology degree and plan to return to get my masters online in school counseling.
