Hi, I'm a 20-year-old first time mom to my beautiful baby boy, R. I have no professional experience but when I was 10 we moved to Mississippi to care for for my grandmother with Alzheimer's as we did NOT want to put her in a home. I helped care for my grandmother up until she passed when I was 14 years old. Not only did I help change her when needed, but I also was the one to talk her out of walking out of our house because she didn't think she was in her own home. I reminded her who she was and who her family was. It was one of the hardest times in my life, watching my grandmothers life slip away from her by this awful disease.
