About Elena

I have 10 years of experience caring for my mother and another senior. I can help with Cooking/Meal Preparation and Laundry as part of elder care services. I've enjoyed a successful career including my own business consulting practice before caring for my mother full-time. A friend asked me to manage the caregivers for an older friend and I ended up pinch-hitting a few times. I was told I was her favorite caregiver and when her health rapidly declined I helped care for her through hospice until she passed. Since my new business provides flexibility, I decided to explore caregiving part-time so I can help more seniors feel valued while receiving needed care. I don't like the emasculating/infantilizing treatment that seems to be the norm.
