Dee Dee helped care for our son like he was one of her own children. We were adoptive parents who had very little time between being notified of our son and him being placed in our arms. Life was a whirlwind and overwhelming and having Dee Dee around was a godsend. She helped us manage the boy and the house, gave gentle pushes when we were forgetting something or just didn't know something. She will always have a place in our son's story and in our hearts.
