I have over 15 years of experience as both a nanny and teacher, ages 0 to 18. I am a licensed K-12 art teacher with a passion for sharing wonder, excitement, and curiosity with children. I left classroom teaching to work more directly with children, and I am looking for a family that's the right fit for us all! As your nanny, your kids and I would play outdoors, do art projects, invest in their unique interests, use our vivid imaginations, explore the city, and learn at each step of the way. My personality when working with children is compassionate, warm, and silly. I am primarily interested in working with LGBTQ and/or POC families, as my values are anti-racist, decolonial, anti-oppression, and care-centered. As a member of the LGBTQ community myself, one of my highest priorities is creating a safe and joyful space for families to thrive. My rate is $30-35/hr but I'm more than happy to negotiate if we are a great fit or if you have friends interested in a nanny-share.

Dean is a caring, thoughtful, and engaging person around children of all ages! I have worked with Dean for a little over a year, on the same team, as Teaching Assistants. In this time I have seen her manage various K - 8 classrooms with 25+ children, as both an assistant and lead teacher. Dean has also worked closely, one-on-one, with many students as a mentor, and friend. They confide in her and seek her help with issues related to their own personal lives. With all that she does within the school, she is organized, attentive and has created lasting relationships with students of all ages.
