About Deanna

I am a therapist seeking work as a caretaker over the summer. I am equipped to assist with emotional support related to grief and the aging process. I have three months of paid experience as a live-in caretaker for a senior woman with Alzheimer's. I have experience with tasks such as meal preparation, eating assistance, medication management, bathing, dressing, mobility, and transportation. I prefer to take an individualized approach to senior care, and use the active listening skills I acquired as a therapist to make each client feel heard, valued, and understood. I have made it my personal mission to treat every senior with the respect and dignity they deserve for a life well lived, and I love listening to stories about seniors' lives.
