Senior Care/Advocacy - Board Certified Patient Advocate License Pending Sept 2019

Avg response < 6 hrs
Hello, I understand the special needs of families facing a medical crisis or the slow decline of an aging loved one. I took care of my mother during her decline with cancer, and I understand the stress and fatigue that all family members experience during this emotional time, and also the need to create quality time with the patient by just listening, laughing and sharing whatever they want or need to talk about. I can be available any day of the week, day or night. I can also assist your family with medical transportation and act as a keen advocate and liaison to be sure physicians, medications and insurance are accurately coordinated, relieving your family so everyone can be more relaxed and rested. I have empathy and a great ability to connect with people on any level. I want to help you during this special time. Please call on me if you would like to discuss your family's needs. I can provide excellent references. Thank you, Susan

We recently hired Susan to help care for my mother after a major surgery. My father was not strong enough to spend the night, and I was out of town. Susan was beyond amazing. The hospital staff was often busy, so Susan had to step in and be a powerful patient advocate for my mother. She was friendly, kind, compassionate, and perhaps most importantly, a fierce advocate for my mother. My mother adored her take charge nature and her friendly conversational style. My father felt like my mother was in great hands. She was so wonderful, we asked her to come back for a second night. I would hire her again and recommend her strongly!!

Hired Larissa 8 Years ago to help with my father. My dad at the time had the beginning of dementia. Larissa was hired full time during the days. She handled all of his needs including medication management, activities and to assisted where necessary for personal needs. She totally managed meal preparation and engagement with my dad and the family. She was very compassionate and to her this was not a job. She was easily adopted into our family atmosphere. She was good with physical, emotional and behavioral problems of my dad. Later she had to deal with the more complex issues like COPD and Pulmonary Hypertension and Stroke. Because of her training she really made it easy for us as we worked day jobs. She always available to stay overnight which she frequently did. Most caregiver did not want to work weekends but she always made herself available over the years. She is good with Pets. Larissa also plays the piano. She was trained in the classics. With Larissa you are getting a GEM.

Leah is one of the most professional, empathetic, and caring individuals that I know. She exhibits a great understanding of a patient's (and supporting family's) needs when it comes to senior care. Leah shows great passion when spending time with seniors through storytelling, sharing her faith, and relating to life experiences of others as it matches with her own. I have seen the fortitude and commitment Leah has firsthand of volunteering and serving her community - it really makes me proud to know her.
