About Daniel

Originally from Albany, NY, I earned my B. A. in History and Political Science from the University of Michigan. Having started as a tutor for the university's athletic department, I now work with students in grades 6-12 throughout the LA area. I was one of those kids who really loved school, but I know that when students are struggling with a new subject or the increased workload that comes with each additional year, school can become a truly miserable chore. Whether it's by bridging gaps in their understanding of material or helping them develop organizational skills, my primary goal is to increase my students' confidence and excitement for learning. Outside of tutoring I am pursuing a career in screenwriting. When I do have downtime I am often playing softball, learning to surf or watching college football (Go Blue!). I am also the beleaguered co-parent of an incredibly recalcitrant cat, Masha.
