About Danah

Hi my name is Danah I am a Westchester resident. I have been working with children since I was in Jr high school. At the age of 22 I became a substitute teacher where I was able to expand my love and knowledge of children of all ages. I currently run a summer camp program (in season) and am a part time personal trainer. I have obtained a degree in performing arts and have been able to explore parts of the world as a result of it. Over my last 10 years working with children has brought me so much joy. I have worked with children from new born to college students. Being able to watch a child grow up and having the opportunity to influence, nurture, direct and love that child to me is amazing. I believe that when a person plants a seed in a child's life it will grow. No matter how big or small, good or bad, frequent or sparring that seed may be. It will impact that child for years to come. Being the director of a youth empowerment organization, dancer and substitute teach gave me a chance to change the world one child at a time. Our children of today are our leaders for tomorrow. To me, having this opportunity means that I have left my foot print.
