With over 10 years of experience working with different students, family dynamics, grade levels, in & out of the classroom, I have developed & refined a wide range of skills. Classroom teacher turned private homeschool instructor & tutor/business owner, my passion for teaching has grown & evolved. As a USC, Rossier School of Ed graduate, I am invested in carrying on the education I worked hard for by serving students in positive way. I offer tutoring services as well as Education Consulting services, essay prep for high school/college (AP & admissions), & support in the admissions process at any age/grade level. Applying to private schools (k-12) & colleges can be an overwhelming process. Navigating the waves of admissions can be daunting & confusing for busy, working parents and students trying to focus on changes & transitions. Courtney is an amazing tutor and was a blessing in our families life. She worked with two of my sons - both with very different personalities and learning styles (including dyslexia) for several years. Courtney worked not only on improving their reading skills, comprehension levels and writing abilities but also on all classroom subjects (history, english, reading, writing, religion, psychology, science etc. ) and with organizational skills, time management, homework and school papers. Courtney’s kindness, patience, organization, flexibility and professionalism was never-ending. She works very hard at capturing and keeping their attention - not alway an easy job. Courtney makes it as fun as possible and is one of the most compassionate and dedicated teachers who have had the pleasure of working with our children.
