About Courtney

Growing up with 4 brothers- two younger- and constantly surrounded by neighborhood friend I have always gravitated towards the role of caregiver and teacher. I am moving from the Northwest back home to The Woodlands area for the year, before attending grad school Fall of 2017 for a Masters in Counseling. My childcare experience includes counseling at an overnight summer camp, volunteering as a "lunch buddy" to at-risk students, working at a community center as School Readiness Coordinator, and off & on babysitting since I was 13. In the 2015-2016 school year, I also created and managed a free after-school tutoring for Title I Elementary students with the MLK Jr Family Outreach Center in Spokane, WA. I recruited & trained local college students in to volunteer their time as tutors in Common Core/Engage NY English as well as Mathematics. I also studied French throughout high school and for 2 years in college, so I'm equipped to help High School students through the intermediate level!
