About Cooper

Since my 1st day of kindergarten, I've known that I wanted to be a teacher. In elementary school, I would volunteer at the daycare across the street from my school and help in the nursery at church. While I always thought I wanted to teach preschool or early elementary, I'm now a 12th grade ELA teacher, and I couldn't be happier. During my professional dance career, I taught dance to children (ages 3-18), tutored elementary and middle school students, and was a nanny for a family of three young children. Since retiring from dance, I've earned a college degree, directed a youth ballet company for three years, taught high school for four years, and now enjoy tutoring and babysitting in my spare time while away from the classroom. My life's purpose is to use my skills as an empathetic, responsible, and energetic teacher/caregiver to enrich children's lives.
