About Cassandra

My current position is working in a residential program for children, ages 10-16, live and thrive in a home environment. I pick up the boys from school and we work on homework, chores, hygiene, and bedtime together. I also utilize the proper coping mechanisms given to me by the children's therapist to assist and manage interfering behaviors. Before my current work I was an RBT. I worked with children with autism, ages 4-10, work on bathroom, hygiene, and how to communicate needs without resorting to violent behavior. We used a play based approach with the children to teach and to learn a child's primary communication method.
