About Carrie

Hello. I am a compassionate and caring 36-year-old with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Education. I have been providing personal assistance care for adults with special needs for the past five years. Most recently, my work involves caring for a 91-year-old female with Alzheimer's. It was this experience that opened my eyes to my true passion. It is so rewarding to feel like I can make a difference in the last stage of her life. We laugh every day, create something every day, and learn something from each other every day. She has taught me how to make homemade biscuits and I have taught her about today's technology. We follow a daily schedule, which includes coffee/conversation, exercise, crafts, word search/reading time, memory games, and cooking. It is with great sadness that she will be going to a nursing home soon, so I will no longer be able to provide care for her. I currently provide care in my home, but would be open to coming to yours. I am nonsmoking, have excellent references, safe/reliable transportation, and am CPR/First Aid certified.
