About Carolyn

I have 20 years of experience. I can help with Special Education. I worked in a so-called poverty-stricken community with immigrants and Second Language learners. My favorite achievement going the extra mile to communicate with parents and students who were afraid about their immigration status and giving them a safe place to express themself. Became involved with education when my son struggled in school. I didn't know how to help him and made a few growing pain mistakes. I returned to school and studied Speech Pathology and Communication disorder. Some researchers believe we should read to the student. From my experience, we should listen to the student and let them go through the struggle until they understand Phenology with the help of sounds and letters being modeled. Not only being aware of cultural differences but knowing different letters and sounds of the alphabet in another language. I believe I will leave family and students better than I found them.
