I recently move to Austin in April 2021! I nannied for two children, ages 3 and 5, for two years. My responsibilities included picking them up from school, driving them to activities, such as sports practice, helping with homework, and occasionally serving dinner and putting them to bed. I worked at a summer camp for four years where I cared for children between the ages of 6 months to 18 years old overnight for a week at a time. I completed a year of volunteer service in England during 2016 to 2017. During this time, I worked as a children and youth worker in a church and assisted in local schools. During the 2017 to 2018 school year, I taught first grade in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. While I discovered that teaching in a public school setting is not my personal calling, I do know one thing is certain: I love working with children! From 2018-early 2021, I was the youth director at Christ Lutheran Church for both middle and high school youth. I enjoy working with all ages!
