About Carmen

I am a former health professional with a passion for caring for children, especially newborns and those birth to age 5. I am Certified in CPR and First Aid. I also have a Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders with a minor in Child Development. As part of my college experience, I have worked in daycare and preschool settings. I have taken care of newborns as young as 24 hours old and children up to 11 years old over the course of the last 20 years. Most of these jobs were occasional babysitting; however, over the course of the last 10 years, I have had experience caring for a newborn on a full-time basis for five different families. I have also cared for children with Muscular Dystrophy and Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. I love the outdoors, walking, hiking, swimming and enjoying all of the beauty of nature, which I would gladly share with your children. I have always loved learning and am able to help your children with any school work they might have, math being my favorite subject.
