Carlene is an extraordinary caregiver who loved and cared of our mom as if she were her own mother. For more than 5 years, Carelene’s warm, gentle, loving manner . . . tending to mom’s needs with grace and compassion, made her a true blessing. She was committed to making mom’s life the best possible while maintaining her dignity and comfort. Mom’s Parkinson’s disease affected her mobility but Carlene was dedicated to helping mom exercise for balance and strength. She did a great job keeping mom mentally stimulated with games, reading, puzzles, conversation, and other activities. Carlene may have been mom’s caregiver but she was also her friend and companion. Mom is gone now but Carlene will always be a part of our family.
