About Bridget

Hello! My name is Bridget and am a licensed, full time elementary school teacher in the Bronx. I recently graduated from the University of Virginia with a Masters of Teaching in elementary education with a certificate in ESOL. I have plenty of experience both in the school and as a tutor. Before teaching first grade, I pulled out small groups for math and reading intervention in 3rd grade. Last summer, I also tutored an adult in English which I loved. I also have done one-on-one literacy tutoring during my time in graduate school. I would love to share my resume upon request. I believe that learning should be fun, relevant, and tailored to each child. I will take great care in understanding the personalities and abilities of the children I work with to better suit their needs.
