About Ashlynn

I'd describe my personality as empathetic, patient, and funny I like working with kids because I find that their energy affects me in a positive way. Whether they're upset and I get a chance to make their day better, or they wake up cheerful and we get to have the best time together. I've learned through my years as a camp counselor that you have to meet kids where they are. We can't expect them to always be 100% so we have to meet them where they are and work slowly to bring their mood up. I've always loved being a role model for little ones. I started working with kids in middle school when I would volunteer at my sister's school. Then in high school where I was a regular babysitter after school and on weekends. Finally in college, I was a head camp counselor, tasked with keeping 40 children entertained. One thing you should know about me is that I pride myself on being able to use humor and make the people around me loosen up and become comfortable.
