About Ashley

Hi! I'm Ashley and I'm a student at Collin College. I've been working as a certified nurse aide for 20 years. I have worked in nursing home, hospital, hospice, dementia units, special needs, psychiatric units, short term and long term geriatric units, memory care and assisted living settings, medical surgical floor units, and children. I'm CPR and first aide certified, and I have a certification In medical assistant, phlebotomy, EKG certification. As, an student nurse major I see the importance of incorporating learning into taking care of the geriatrics and elderly population. By using different techniques five senses techniques, exciting games, and creative crafts. I always show up prepared with fun activities to engage the elderly in.
