CarePro Background Check
Reviewed by Avia G. 4/5 stars
First and foremost, it is incredibly stressful to choose a caregiver for your children but it poses even a greater challenge in the midst of a pandemic. We interviewed Ajula and were very impressed with her credentials. We were interviewing other caregivers as well but she stood out for many reasons. We had a budget and a goal. She said the amount we offered was fine but told us she had a trial on Tuesday set for Thursday with another family. Just like a job interview or your first day, you know if it is a good fit or not on that day. Instead, we didn't hear from her on Thursday nor Friday. It was Saturday that I asked her what she'd decided, she responded by approving my background check request. After her previously accepting our offer, us agreeing to increase the number of hours, she declined. Good communication is critical. Because I feel this was insensitive and unprofessional, I want to post less starts but I do not want to hurt her business but want other parents to beware.

Fun, Loving, Caring, Experienced Nanny

Working with children and their families has always been important to me. While I have Master's degrees, I have spent over 20 years caring for children rather than working outside of the home. Along the way, I acquired medical training and CPR certifications in order to be better equipped to serve both within my family and the community, and I have provided childcare for others. I am very excited to get to know your family, and childcare could be in my own home or yours. My heart is to provide a loving, educational environment that fosters life-long learning and exploration - organized times of reading and other focused activities as well as plenty of outdoor time, age-appropriate field trips, etc. My personal experience parenting a child with special needs has given me the skills to to expand the level of care I can provide . No matter the ability of any child, I know that a love for learning is inspired in the early years, and that would be my focus for your children.

I have known Gwen for about 20 years, and during that time she has cared for my children alongside her own on multiple occasions. She is knowledgeable, compassionate, creative, and fun! In fact, several special memories I have with my own children were born out of ideas that Gwen shared and then put into action for us to do together. She is very smart and challenges children to learn and grow in their education. She is also professional, organized, dependable, and good at handling difficult situations in a calm and professional manner. I trust Gwen completely, and highly recommend her to care for a child or children of any age, without reservation. Any child in her care will be well loved, with their physical, social, emotional, and educational needs all kept at the heart of their time together.

Live-In Or Live-Out Nanny Or Caregiver Who Is Devoted, Loving, Caring And Well Experienced

Hello. I am currently working as a live-in nanny in Clovis, CA, for a single father that has 3 children. I have worked and lived with them for almost 4 years. I can be a live-in or live-out nanny. For 3 years we lived in McKinney and I'm from Plano. I am a dedicated, loving, caring and experienced nanny. I'm First Aid, CPR and AED Certified. I'm an incredible photographer too, and I take pictures of everything the children do, then put together in a printed, hard cover album for the grandparents and other family members that live away, so they can see their life throughout the year at the end of the year. The children I have been working with are ages 8, 11 and 14 (two girls and a boy). They have been very involved in baseball, basketball, volleyball, cheerleading, gymnastics, choir and dance. I love them very much and they will always be part of my family. I also worked as a nanny for 2 years in New Orleans for a family of 5. I had my own business in advertising and marketing for 16 years in Plano, TX. Then I took care of my mother-in-law for 2 1/2 years, as my ex-husband and his mother came to live with me after the hurricane hit New Orleans. They didn't have anywhere to go so I let them stay with me for 2 years while they rebuilt their home. This meant cooking, cleaning, bathing her, taking her shopping and making sure she took her medication on time and changing her diaper form time to time. I'm looking to move back to the Dallas area and hopefully find a live in nanny position there to be closer to my family and friends. I miss Texas! I have no problem traveling; I love it. I am a very honest and loving caregiver that absolutely loves children and it's so much fun because children love being around me. I have helped raise and mentor many children over the past 30 years, through my church and friends. I was the mom that was at everything (and I do these things with this family too). I volunteered at summer camps, all school and church functions, then all the kids came to my house for snacks and talking. I was a single mom that did all this but now they are grown and I still have so much more love to give. I have 2 daughters that are both in college. Also, both daughters have food allergies, so if that's an issue, I know a lot about it. I love pets. I'm completely focused on your children when I'm working. I'm very strict with homework and their responsibilities. I would love to help you raise your children now. I have turned in my notice, so it will be no problem to contact the father. I'm sure my employer will give me an excellent reference. Have a wonderful day!

Heritage Learning Center

200 N. Jordan R./ PO Box 1445, McKinney, TX

Costimate: $194/wk

Heritage Learning Center is truly McKinney's hidden treasure. In business over 25 years, we are tucked away on a beautiful three-acre campus off Virginia Parkway between Hardin and US 75. Heritage serves children between that ages of 18 months and 5 years in our Preschool Program and 5-12 years in our After School Clubhouse.

Open daily 6:30am-6:30pm, children follow a detailed schedule and curriculum that fully prepares them for a successful kindergarten year. We welcome over 150 after schoolers daily because the Clubhouse is an amazing place to be. Children are assigned one of six classrooms with children that are just their age. Videos and more information about this can be seen through the virtual tour on our website.

Summertime at Heritage is unmatched. Our school-age children travel on over 30 off-campus field trips during their 11 weeks of summer. Although our little guys on campus do not leave our campus for field trips, the fun comes to them through multiple entertainers, events, themed days, and playing in our very own SPRAY WATER PARK! Our moms and dads know that their children will have a very enjoyable summer while they are at work.

What makes us different? So much...

1. We do not offer part time tuition options. For consistency, friends in each classroom see the same faces daily, the same teachers and the same friends. Families are welcome to have their children not attend certain days of the week because family time is important; however, we will not add another child to the class just because a student is gone.

2. Children at Heritage stay in the same class all school year like traditional school. Most preschool models move children up to the next class every six months. Children at Heritage get to stay with their friends and teachers.

3. We do not "fee" our families endlessly. We ask for a one-time registration fee and a yearly supply fee in addition to your regular tuition. That's it. No activity fees or ongoing registration fees.

4. Heritage teachers are loving, facilitate structured classrooms, and are background checked yearly. All are CPR/First Aid certified as well.

5. Our campus amenities provide excitement in a child's day including our indoor playroom, arcade rooms, computer labs, rubber-turfed playgrounds, & the water park.

6. We are only closed 6 1/2 days per year! Christmas Day, Thanksgiving Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, 4th of July, New Year's Day, and at 3pm Christmas Eve
