About Ashley

Hello! I have been a teacher on and off for 11 years specializing in project-based/experiential learning. The majority of that time was spent at a private school in New Hampshire where I was the Assistant Director and taught a multilevel classroom of 2nd through eighth graders. It sounds a bit chaotic, one teacher for 20 students teaching math, science, English ect to all grade levels at the same time, but it was the most fun I've ever had in the classroom. My school specialized in students who weren't finding success in public school, those who moved "too much", had trouble focusing, or just weren't interested in the way information was being presented. That means I had to get creative and make subjects not just engaging but relevant. When I tutor I try hard to not just repeat what has been said in class but to present the same information in a new and interesting way.
