About Amy

I'd describe my personality as empathetic, creative, and enthusiastic. I like working with kids because they are kind, energetic, and curious about the world around them! Every kid is unique and I enjoy hearing their viewpoints. I'm looking for a job that offers flexibility for me to practice art lessons with the kids. I started working with kids when I became the oldest kid in the neighborhood. I started babysitting when I was 16. Shortly after, I worked at Goldfish Swim School where I taught students from 8 months to 12 years. When I went to college, I taught art classes to students of all ages and with various abilities. In my spare time, I like to do felt-making, write short stories, and read. One thing you should know about me is that I just graduated from Kent State University with a degree in art education. I just moved to Seattle from Ohio this month. My skills include following directions, creating games with life lessons, and knowing emergency procedures.
