About Alice

In addition to many years of child care experience as a babysitter and nanny, I hold a California teaching credential and am knowledgeable about child development, educational psychology and hands-on, play-based learning. I certified with DONA International as a Postpartum Doula, and with Maternity Wise as a Labor Doula. While I enjoy every stage of a child's journey toward adulthood, I am currently most interested in supporting birthing and postpartum families. My focus is on nurturing birthing parents, partners, babies and/or siblings as a family launches or expands. Through facilitating birth, recovery and the establishing of sustainable feeding, sleeping, and bonding patterns, in accordance with each family's personal preferences, I endeavor to promote the building of a family as enjoyable, heroic and fulfilling.
