About Alexis

Science is often a challenging subject for many individuals. I myself have had to try different strategies and spend lots of time in order to really grasp certain concepts as a science major in college. In 2018, I graduated from West Chester University of Pennsylvania with my bachelor's degree in biology education. Many of my education classes required hands-on experience, observation, and implementation of lessons in schools around the area. In that time, I had the opportunity to observe seasoned educators use a wide variety of techniques to reach every learner. After graduating, I had multiple long-term substitute science teaching positions. These included teaching 10th grade biology, 9th grade general science, a forensic science elective course, as well as 7th grade middle school science. In those positions, I have made myself available for individual or small-group tutoring before, during, and after school. Those who attended those sessions saw significant improvement.
