About Alexandria

I volunteered in a kindergarten classroom for 11 years, working with children that had special needs or had behavior problems. I have worked at a Daycare center for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old. I love working with children because it keeps me a child at heart. It can be difficult but with my experience, I am confident that I can handle anything that comes my way. While I am most comfortable with children ages 4 and up, I am now working solely in the toddler room, giving me more experience with different age groups. I provide a daily log of what I think is important for parents to know (feedings, nap time, diaper changes, activities, etc.). I also come prepared with a sheet the first time that I use to get important info such as emergency contacts, allergies, disabilities, daily schedule, etc.. This is how things are done at the daycare and I find it very important to give parents information about how their child was cared for!
