Hello, My Name is Ariam, I'm 23 years old. I started to be a mothers' helper when I was 12 years of age. My first experience was babysitting for my neighbors and family friends occasionally. As for right now I'm working part-time for a twin-toddler family. I also grew up with a big family that also includes many young cousins that range between the ages 2-10yo. As an only child of a single parent I learned at a young age to be very responsible and independent, and because of that I've become experienced in duties such as light housekeeping as well as cooking and baking. I personally enjoy outside activities like going to the park, skating, playing Frisbee and ball games moreover I like inside activities like reading books, drawing mandalas and playing board games. I moved to Seattle from Germany. I'm fluent in German, English and Tigrinya. It would be a pleasure to teach German to your children, if preferred. I'm very comfortable working with pets since I have a dog of my own.

Babysitter/ Pet Sitter
I love working with kids! During the summer I get the opportunity to coach soccer to young children of all ages and skill level. I work at soccer summer camps where I teach kids for about six hours and love every moment of it. I also had the opportunity to volunteer in my church kid's ministry. Some days I worked at teaching the youth and some days I would babysit them while their parents went into the sermon. I play for Seattle University's Women's Soccer team and we do many events that work with kids. I've babysat two families through Care. com. There has never been a dull moment working with kids. I truly enjoy it. I also have lots of experience with pets. I've grown up with a black lab/spring spaniel and 2 cats. I babysat an 8-month-old German pointer and an older toy fox terrier. I'm also a very active person and love to walk and play with animals. I've taken many animal science classes in high school as I had originally planned to go to Vet School. I absolutely love animals.

I'm The Nanny Your Looking For!

I have been working with children since I was old enough to consider someone younger than me, a "child." At 12 years old, I began babysitting for a few families in my neighborhood. Word-of-mouth and references helped me get my first nanny position at the onset of my undergraduate education. It's been (a little more than) 10 years since then, and I'm incredibly grateful for the families and children I've been allowed to help raise, to watch grow-up, and to build lasting relationships with. In addition to being a nanny, I have 11 summers of residential camp experience where I have played with, created activities for, and mentored hundreds of school-age and teen boys and girls. As a camp counselor, I can get 12 children up and ready for their day all at once, spend 15 hours planning, playing, and singing and then get those same 12 children to bed at the end of the day. I enjoy long days and lots of activity. Those summers, combined with my experience working with foster kids in group homes and at visitation centers has lead me to my long-term goal of starting a non-profit camp for low-income and foster youth, so that every child has the opportunity to spend a week in the outdoors. I have experience with infants, toddlers, children with special needs, multiples, nanny-share, and siblings spanning multiples ages. I have spent hours crawling around on the floor with little ones and reading, chatting with, and playing board games or soccer with older ones. I can multitask endlessly: running errands, managing laundry, play-dates, sports practices, dinner prep, homework help, and always remember to make time for a snack and "tell me about your day." Whatever your needs, I'm happy to work with you to ensure your family is supported in every way that makes home-life better. After graduating from college in 2008 I have worked from 30-50 hours a week as a nanny, educator, or childcare care provider. In addition to being a nanny, I have tutored and mentored in elementary and high school classrooms, was a teacher in South Korea, and volunteered in Head Start classrooms with toddlers. I am a dedicated professional who likes to get outside everyday, whether it's for a walk to the park, a side-walk chalk extravaganza right outside the house, or a variety of fun activities the kids can enjoy. It's important to me to encourage kids to be respectful, responsible and creative. I love crafts, books, and baking cookies. I'm so excited about the families and kids I've met since I moved back here and for all that is ahead in the up-coming months! If you have any questions or a spot on your calendar you'd like filled, please don't hesitate to contact me!

Experienced Nanny Looking For Part-Time Position
I am in grad school and am looking for a that will fit with my schedule! I have been working part time for two families (ages 8 mo - 3 years) and am looking to add another full day to my schedule. I just finished my job as a recreational gymnastics coach, teaching kids ages 2 1/2 to 12. Before this, I was working as an au pair in Hanover, Germany for a family with 5 children aged 2-7. I watched the kids, did light housework and meal preparation, and got the kids to and from all their activities. I have also been babysitting for all ages for many years, and worked as a part-time nanny for a family with 3 children in the summer of 2011. I coached a recreational summer swim team for the city of Austin for 3 years, taught swim lessons for 5, and lifeguard for 6. I worked with children ages 6 months through 17 years. I worked as a tutor in an after school program in Beloit, WI, where I went to college, helping first graders with math and reading.
