Montessori & RIE Nanny Passionate About Tiny Humans!
My name is Megan. I have my Bachelor's in Elementary Education & English, as well as my state teaching license. After some self reflection, I've realized I enjoy the one-on-one connection I get with children through nannying more so than the classroom setting. That being said, I have years of experience with children of all ages, in both private home settings as well as elementary classrooms. I am comfortable creating weekly lesson plans. I am Red Cross certified in Pediatric CPR/AED/First Aid and up to date on vaccinations. My nannying style is a mix of positive parenting techniques, as well as Montessori & RIE philosophies. I love creating an engaging & screen-free environment for kids to explore the world around them. I believe in child-led activities, giving kids choices during conflict rather than traditional discipline, and making space for big emotions. I also consider myself a very active nanny; getting out of the house/going on adventures every day is important to me.

Looking For 2018 Summer Nanny Position
I have already accepted a summer nanny position. I am a middle school teacher who babysits on weekends and nannies during vacation periods and summer breaks. I am extremely active and love to go on daily adventures around the city with the kids to learn, explore, experience, and make memories. I make it a priority to get out of the house. Currently I have four families I occasionally sit for with kids ranging from 1 mo to 7 years old. Last summer I nannied a 5th grader. We spent most of our time listening to music, cooking, and painting nails. Two summers I nannied a rambunctious 3-year-old two days a week. The other days I nannied to lovely ladies that were neighbors who were 3 and 6 months old. Three summers ago, I nannied siblings who were 4 and 5 years old. I have a pretty full of date night families currently, but it never hurts to ask. I am also looking for a 4-6 week long 2018 summer nanny position.
