Nanny, Tutor, And Pet Care Provider

I love caring for all types of animals, though I am a dog lover at heart! I am looking for pet care jobs close to Beacon Hill, Seattle. I have cared for dogs from a few weeks old to 16 years old and am a lifelong dog-owner. I am able to feed, exercise, groom (dogs: brushing, bathing, nail trimming, and tooth brushing depending on dog size and temperament) and provide lots of playtime. No matter the weather, I can take your pets on walks, hikes, dog park excursions or simply cuddle with them on the couch. I believe animals should be cared for on an individual, personal level and I strive to understand each animal's limitations, preferences, and needs. My experience as a pet caregiver ranges from everywhere from WA state to NYC to CO over the last 10 years.

Gabby is hands down the best overnight pet/house sitter we have ever had. She treats our two German Shepherds as if they were her very favorite nephews - showering them in love and attending to them even better than we do! One of our dogs is 10 years old and has over a dozen different daily medications and eye drops. The other is a year-and-a-half and a full on handful. Gabby navigates their extra care with ease and grace. She checks in regularly with photos and stories about their play times and activities, and she communicates clearly about any concerns or questions. We often come home to a house that is cleaner and dogs who are happier than when we left. She has watched our boys for long week+ trips, and we also have the peace of mind knowing that Gabby could be there if we ever had an emergency.

Part-Time Caregiver

Responds quickly
Hello! My name is Abby and I'm a student at the University of Washington. I have experience with varying kinds of animals and pets. I have personal exposure to pets with medical and diet needs, this requires administering shots, mixing special foods, and taking very attentive leashed walks. Growing up, I took care of birds, cats and dogs. I have especial experience with small dog breeds, specifically Pomeranian and Chihuahuas like my rescue dog, although I'd be thrilled to work with larger ones too! I love animals and would feel comfortable caring for varying types and breeds, as well as giving ample emotional and psychological support for friends who are timid or anxious (or likewise, energetic and playful!) As I am just beginning to care for pets professionally, I'm in the process of completing an extensive pet CPR and first aid training program. I look forward to meeting you and your best friend(s)!

Abby was our nanny for over a year through the course of the pandemic and she is amazing! She was great with the kids helping with e-learning, homework and managed their schedule during the summer. Abby also ran errands and grocery shopped for us. She was the full package-nanny, house manager, even watched our dog when we went out of town. I completely trusted her with the kids and to manage our house. Highly recommend and would hire her back in a minute!
