Hello! I am currently an Early Childhood Special Education teacher. While my current position is with toddlers, I have experience with many different ages and abilities. I have worked in Early Childhood Special Education classroom ages 3-6, Resource room ages 9-12, Resource room ages 6-10, and a Severely Multiply Impaired classroom ages 16-21. I have also babysat for a child with an emotional impairment and with severe cognitive delay. I am just finishing up my 5th year teaching. My degree is in Abnormal Psychology, with an emphasis in Special Education. I am certified to teach in the area of Cognitive Impairment and Early Childhood Developmental Delay. I'm very passionate about helping people with disabilities reach their full potential. I'm willing to try new things to help kids learn. I take a very hands-on approach, as that's how most people learn best. I am a very patient person and believe in the positive behavior approach. I am open to new experiences and want to do the best I can to make sure kids have experiences also. I enjoy being outside, reading, playing sports, swimming, cooking, and being creative.
