I have worked at a center for Children with Autism for the past 5 years. I have extensive training and experience with children with autism with ability levels ranging all across the spectrum. I have worked with many children who are non-verbal and am adept with communication devices such as iPad's and know limited functional sign language. I teach in ABA format and have experience creating care plans individualized to each child. I am trained and certified in Mandt concepts to effectively contain aggressive behaviors as well as behavioral management techniques such as behavioral isolation, neutrality, DRO, and teaching students proper coping mechanisms to address negative and aggressive behavior. I have taught many ADL's (activities of daily living) and am very comfortable cleaning up after children. My main area of experience has been with children ages 7 years old - 15 years old but have worked with children as old as 18 years old and as young as 4 years old. I am patient, caring, and love the work that I do.
