Hi, my name is Denise and I would like to tell you a little bit about myself, I think It's important for you to know who I am. I was adopted by two wonderful caring parents. I have 2 sisters. My father is an accountant and my mother is a hairstylist. One of my sisters is a teacher and the other is an occupational therapist. I grew up in the suburbs of Minneapolis, Minnesota. I started working when I was age 16 as a candy stripper in a hospital. I always knew I wanted to work within the medical, nursing field. I have the skills it takes to be a good care provider, with babies all the way up to our elderly. I'm respectful, and I'm very caring. I've worked in hospitals, private homes, and other facilities. I've worked with kids who have brain/head traumas, down syndrome/mentally challenged, and mental illnesses. I've worked with kids with physical/mobility challenges, with cognitive, development, & social skills issues. I've taught life skills so they can live a productive life. I've worked at the hospital in nursing rotations on the delivery/newborn floor. I worked in the nursery bathing, weighting, measuring and suctioning the babies. they are so little, and fragile, some babies were sick and need extra care. When caring for all children fortunate to have no disabilities, and those with disabilities you need to provide them with a sense of warmth and security while their mom/dad are away. Then you need to relate that feeling back to the parent/parents for peace of mind. I get to know the children's needs and wants, I interact with them, play with them, read to them, find something to do together, you need to help nurture their little minds. But most of all I'm there to protect them. Older kids can be more difficult, they don't want a babysitter, and disregard the reason why you are there, I just be patient and be there for them and keep them safe. Any big issues I will speak to the parent, if need be right away, or when they get home. I'm also very qualified to work with you're newborns who need that most delicate touch and care. I also want to express how much my medical/nursing background can help in case of a medical problem or illness, and have experience in diabetes, diet/medication or insulin dependent. I have a detailed resume I can provide. Thank You, Denise
