About Zoey

Hello! I'm Zoey. In childcare, I always emphasize social-emotional well-being. I seek to provide safe & compassionate care through allowing the freedom to play, explore, grow, & learn. My approach is gentle (although not overly-permissive!) & uses NVC. My background is in ECE, with an MA in Infant & Early Childhood Development, Education, & Mental Health. I have experience with in-home care for children with & without disabilities, as a recreational therapy instructor, & most recently as an early childhood educator. Ideally, I am looking to expand my experience into infant/newborn care, with a goal of becoming a Newborn Care Specialist. I currently have close to no professional infant care experience so am looking for one time or occasional recurring babysitting work working with babies younger than 12 months to build up my experience and opportunities in the field.
