Yaz started working for my husband and I right after Fourth of July and provided care for our 4–6-month-old daughter for just over 9 weeks, 3 days a week. Always timely, had good communication, and was flexible with her hours. From the start of her employment, she knew my mom was going to live-in with us mid- September and was prepared to lessen her hours once this happened. I offered her up the opportunity to supplement her hours with another family while continuing to work with us since her hours would decline once my mom arrived. The night before she was set to start her hours for the week, to which she already committed to, she sends me a text explaining how we weren't going to be providing her enough hours and has accepted a job with another family who needs her five days a week. She never started a discussion with us that she started to look for more hours, let alone did we give the impression we didn't want to work with her at all once my mom was here. We agreed to keep using her around her other family's schedule or date nights if she needed hour hours. The morning she was to show up for her shift, I started calling her 5 minutes past, texting her, and she did not reply all morning with any explanation. Completely ghosted. We are now without care, with no notice, which was a crucial factor for us when hiring someone as this already happened to us before her and she understood the importance of loyalty. My husband and I are incredibly disappointed and hurt that someone would disregard a family you've grown to work with over the last couple months. All that to say, we would not recommend her.
