About Yanica

I'd describe my personality as empathetic, warm, and friendly. I like tutoring because I love getting to see the children's faces when they accomplish what they were working so hard on I'm looking for a job that challenges me to grow, is an encouraging environment, and have a good work/life balance. I started tutoring a couple years ago but have had many years of experience with working with children. In my spare time, I like to hangout with friends, check out new restaurants and coffee shops, and curl up at home watching movies or reading a book. One thing you should know about me is I want to make things easier for the child and the guardians. I want the child to feel comfortable and encouraged, and the parents to feel confident that they and their child are my priority. My skills include helping with language arts and math homework, and helping in understanding how the child learns best.
