About Wendy

I'd describe my personality as reliable, empathetic, and fun! I like working with kids because its such a diverse field that there are so many personalities and cultures to learn from while also having the chance to impact a child's life for the better. I started working with kids when I was younger. My mom is a caregiver as well, so I would help her with the children she took care of. She has been doing this since I was little as well, so I guess it's just been part of my life. I used to also take care of my younger cousin who has down syndrome and autism. In my spare time, I like to go out a hike, paint, and I also read occasionally when I have time to indulge in a book for about an hour. One thing you should know about me is that I also have a daughter. I also have a part time job between 1pm-5 p.m. for an after school program where the student's vary from tk-8th grade. My skills include conflict resolution, encouragement of critical thinking, and open communication.
